CURRICULUM PARTICULARITIES

We propose high-quality and supportive educational program that under the New Brunswick (Canada) curriculum. New Brunswick’s education system is recognized for being world-class and for ensuring that students develop the necessary skills to become lifelong learners, to achieve personal fulfillment and to contribute to a productive society. The curriculum equips learners with fundamental skills like literacy and numeracy, while ensuring that they develop the global competencies needed to thrive in a changing world.
In additional, the curriculum in line with the Ukrainian standards is part of the education at the Institution.

KNOWLEDGE ASSESSMENT

Assessment is an important part of the teaching process. Variety of appropriate tools are used to make learning strategies more effective and to support academic demand. In particular, they are the following:

1. Pre-assessement of students:
  • What is the level of readiness of students?
  • Which concepts/skills require more support?

Record of data

2. Collection of evidence from a variety of sources:
  • Observations
  • Conversations
  • Products

Possible sources:

  • Paper/pencil tasks
  • Oral interviews

INTERVENTION

To establish the learning and teaching environment needed to achieve academic and social success for all students academic and behavior interventions are needed.
Concern regarding a student’s academic and/or social success is a ground to determine student needs and explore possible solutions.

In this regard, there are 3 tiers of an intervention approach used:
1 TIER

Core instruction for all students

2 TIER

Targeted, small group interventions

3 TIER

Intensive, individual interventions

Working out the interventions, ESS team problem solves in collaboration with teacher who made a request and makes recommendation(s) for next steps to step up or step down.
