FAQ

How do children study English?

English is the main language of study and communication in the institution. For all children, English becomes necessary, which encourages his successful study. We do not provide separate English lessons, because this approach limits the ability to learn the language. The child is in the English environment all the time.

Does your institution have a playground?

We do not have a separate fenced area for games and walks, that resulted from the peculiarities of the location of our premises at the territory of the residential complex “Novopecherski Lypky”. There are several playgrounds on site and directly adjacent to the our facility, and there is also an opportunity for walks with older children to the green area of the complex. There are several grassy lawns in front of the facility where children can play.

If a child doesn't want to sleep after lunch, what do you do?

Sleep is a physiological state of the body for rest. Older children are more in need of sleep than children of 4-5 years. However, after 5 years, children become more enduring, have to get ready for school, and, therefore, the time for sleep is no longer provided for them in our daily schedule. If younger children do not sleep at all, or their parents insist on it, we suggest that the child just lie down in bed, or spend time with a book or pencil, quietly play with toys etc. In this case, children who do not sleep should not prevent other children from having a rest and distract the educator from the care of the entire group.

We believe that having rest in the daytime, for example, for 30 minutes at the age of 4-5 years, will allow children to be in a good mood in the evening and will not be a nuisance for their parents.

If your baby is allergic, how the meals are organized?

We work with catering companies that serve a significant number of preschool and school institutions in Kyiv. The menu is updated regularly and parents are able to choose a set of dishes considering the child health. In addition, you can order a vegetarian or gluten-free menu. Parents can also cook their own meals for their child. The relevant guidelines are described in the regulations on our nutrition policy.

If compare the learning of the child with the nanny and at your facility, what is the difference?

First, staying of the child in the collective allows it to properly adapt to the surrounding world and have more possibilities for growth.

One can hardly imagine that even the best babysitter will be able to independently create the conditions for comprehensive education of the child and replace the constant communication with peers. If a parent takes care of the child in the first place, it is still important not to isolate the child. The age before 6 years is too favorable for the development of basic abilities of the child, in order not to lose the required time. In the school years, this process is already noticeably slowing down.

When can the progress be seen in the development of a child?

We create conditions for the comprehensive development of children and use the modern pedagogical approaches of Canadian education system. Our main areas of child development are: emotional development and strengthening of personality, psychomotor and sensory development, language development, social development, cognitive development. For each area there are its own designed teaching tools and a detailed set of evaluation criteria. It is important for us that parents see progress in their child’s acquisition of new knowledge, in particular, that the child goes to our facility with pleasure.

What differs your facility from the others?

We are part of global Canadian network Réseau Vision School World Inc., which successfully demonstrates the priority of quality education for children based on their own Concept. Dozens of qualified Canadian pedagogues have worked on the creation of the educational model; it has been used by hundreds of educators in Canada and the world for over 20 years, and thousands of children and their parents are satisfied with the result.

We do not start from scratch, do not make undue experiments, we know what to do, having a constant institutional support from Canadian partners and access to advanced educational technology.

The training program in the senior group is more intensive than in the junior ones. Thematic tasks become more complex, more attention is paid to the development of literacy and self-organization. At the same time, if a child studies according to our program from an early age, he uses the knowledge and skills acquired in this context with more effficiency- his progress becomes more noticeable.
